Jonathan Lucas Wood 
Jonathan (he / him) is increasingly in demand as a dynamic conductor, tenor and vocal coach. In 2021/22, he graduated with distinction from the MA Choral Conducting course at the University of Birmingham studying with Simon Halsey, Bob Chilcott and Julian Wilkins.
Jonathan has recently moved to London and is a Tenor Lay Clerk at St. George’s Cathedral, Southwark having previously been a Tenor Lay Clerk at Buckfast Abbey and a Choral Scholar at Exeter Cathedral. These experiences led him to perform solos in numerous critically acclaimed recordings as well as live broadcasts on BBC 1 and BBC Radio 3. Recent solo performances include Handel Solomon, Mozart Requiem at St John’s Smith Square as part of the Holy Week festival, Haydn Creation, Chilcott Requiem, Handel Messiah, J S Bach Christmas Oratorio, J S BachCantata BWV 12 & BWV 6, Haydn Stabat Mater, Haydn The Seven Last Words of Christ and Monteverdi Vespers.
He is currently Musical Director of the Exeter Bach Choir and Surrey Youth Choir and regularly takes rehearsals for other choirs around the UK including Dartington Community Choir, Exmouth Choral Society and the Collegium Singers. Jonathan previously led student music at the University of Exeter for over six years as a conductor of the Exeter University Singers, Musical Director of the Exeter University Gilbert & Sullivan Society and as a founding member of the award winning a cappella group ‘Semi-Toned’. He was a regular member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain until 2019 and performed as part of the organisation’s Chamber Choir and Fellowship octet.
