An RSS feed (or news feed) is a means by which you can stay informed about what's going on at Shaldon Singers without having to regularly visit the website.
To make use of an RSS feed, you need some "feed reader" (or "aggregator") software. Most modern web browsers have feed readers built in.
The RSS feeds for Shaldon Singers are listed below...
Our Annual General Meeting in October 2024 brought many changes to the choir. Many of our committee had served the choir for nine years and, as per our constitution, had to step down. This meant that we had to elect new members to run the administration of the choir.

We have many others in the choir who help to keep it running smoothly from day to day whether that be designing the programms for our concerts or helping with refreshments before our rehearsals. We are also extremely lucky to have Anna Cockroft as our accommpanist and Tim Crompton as our Musical Director. We are all in awe of their amazing musical talents!
We have tried this year to improve communication and socialisation within the choir- having a Who's Who picture gallery so that all members of the choir can get to know each other. We have also introduced choir questionnaires to see what carols we might like to sing at our Christmas concert. This proved extremely popular and I think it will take us about ten years to get through the list! We also asked choir members about uniform changes and these may be introduced at our next concert- watch this space!
Having refreshments before we start singing has enabled members of the choir to socialise more and this also helps support members within the choir- whether that is offering lifts, delivering music or meeting up in the pub after rehearsals!
Our main aim of course is singing and bringing the joy and benefits of this to the public when we perform our twice yearly concerts.
